Jameela Adams gives a straightforward demonstration on how to take a YouTube video URL and embed it into a widget on your WordPress site.
As in the previous video, she talked you through updating a banner and uploaded a YouTube video link. This time, she’ll show you how to embed it into a widget.
A widget is a block of space that allows you to enter contact information or other relevant information about our website.
How to Embed a Video onto Your Website
We’re going to hit Customize. And then we’re going to go to Widgets.
We’re going to go to Footer 1.
And add the widget we type in the video.
And this is what’s going to be displayed in order one.
We’re going to give it a title. It’s going to be a test site. And we’re going to add our video, and as you can see, we’re in our media library. These are the previous videos, but we will add the URL from our YouTube video this time. So, we’re going to hit enter URL.
Now we’re going to paste. Here is our video, and now we will add it to our widget.
Click Done and Publish.
We’re going to exit out of Customize, and Scroll down. Then, here is our video. And if you want, you can go ahead and play it.
